2nd Penang Trip

June 13, 2009 10:01PM

It’s been more than a month since my last post. Been busy with one-day trip to Penang, final exams, lalala with friends before saying byebye to them, works, planning…….. etc. It’ll take one whole day to list everything down now.

[ The Northam All Suite Hotel ]

Right now, I’m in Penang for another trip. This trip is a little bit special ‘coz I have time to walk along the beach, chit-chat with the anglers around there, go for shopping-spree at Gurney Plaza twice (ngeh hehehe..) etc. But at night, I can’t clear off my mind from my works. I reached here yesterday morning. Here, I stayed at The Northam All Suite Hotel. Really like my suite. :chuu2:

Burger, burger and more burger..

May 10, 2009 06:04PM

I like burger.. A LOT. But, street burger sold at road side hasn’t been my favourite. With the over-flooding mayonnaise and chilli ketchup, it doesn’t attract me at all. Whenever I feel like to burger, my mouth and stomach will whisper “DO NOT BUY BURGER AT THAT STALL“. The burger is too messy with.. almost everything.

Last week, Key told me about McDonald’s Big N’ Tasty burger. So that night, we went to McDonald’s in Equine, Seri Kembangan. The burger was great and tasty but that won’t change anything. McD’s Beef Burger is still my favourite.

That was last week and it was great. This week, I tried this unique burger called Burger Mat Salai. You’ll know why later. The stall was newly opened this week at HB3 food court. My comment? It was the most scrumptious and unique street burger I have ever tried  . I’d never seen any burger closely like this one before. I don’t mind having dinner with this burger only. :heh:

[ Can you see the floss and the smoked beef? ]

Last week has been a very terrible and exhaustive week. I had to complete my slideshow (created using xHTML, CSS and AJAX) for my Final Year Project (FYP) presentation. My presentation went terrible because I couldn’t write anything on the whiteboard. The projector screen blocked the entire whiteboard. So, I freezed because I didn’t know how to explain Math in plain words. In other words, to make them understand. For Part 2 of my FYP, all I did was research to improve the system. I did A LOT of Maths studies. I had done almost everything during Part 1. So for Part 2, I was more focused on improving the system by studying A LOT of Maths. I was like a Mathematician this trimester. *sighs*

This weekend, I’ll be off to Penang for a business trip. The project has been confirmed and I’ll be the key/ important role in this project. Ever since I was told about this news, I can’t stop thinking about it. I even dream about it. Another busy week is coming.. *sighs, sighs and more sighs..”

Star Trek has been my favourite sci-fi movie ever since I was a kid. That movie started my obsession on Physics and Astronomy. I even study wormhole, warp speed, the superstring theory etc. I even adore Stephen Hawking’s works. Well, not everything. Physics amaze me in many ways. So, I watched Star Trek last Thursday with Key. It was AWESOME × AWESOME = AWESOME2. Or most likely, AWESOME FOR ETERNITY !. One more thing, Spock’s hot. :blingbling:

MMU Awards and Weeeee..!

May 3, 2009 11:28AM

The event was held last weekend but the internet connection here has been quite unacceptable for the past few days. Maybe has been a week. Just for this event, I spent hundreds for a black dress. Like Iss, I almost regret. :dotdotdot:

Yesterday, I tested out Key’s Nintendo Wii. He bought a faulty Call of Duty: World at War and Tomb Raider: Underworld games. Since we couldn’t play CoD, we played few games like Wii SportsNFS Prostreet and Wario Land: Shake It!. I might not be into kids games but just gave it a shot. At first, I started to get excited with the controller. Swing the remote like a real tennis racket, punch like you really want to punch someone. It was great. But after 2 hours, I started to get tired. 1 hour later, I burnt out. I never get this tired when playing xbox 360 for more than 5 hours. Of all games I played, I think I got hooked with Wario Land and Nintendo Wii Tennis (though I’m very, very, very bad at kids or any casual games). Oh yeah, Key. My entire body got sore when I woke up. But it doesn’t mean I’m gonna raise the white flag. :peace:

[ I thought the kitten was shy ]

I don’t feel to talk a lot right now. I really want to turn my brain off for a long period of time. It’s been a rough week. So, the pictures will do the talk most of the time. :dotdotdot:

All I’m saying, I’m going to bring my 360 over anytime soon (my original VGA cable is spoilt already), playing Gears of War again and laugh until the day I can really get out of sucky student life. Peace out~ :peace:

short note: XBox 360′s upcoming game called Damnation looks awesome !

Experimental Image, Earth Hour and Cricket

March 29, 2009 10:33PM

Listening to : David Archuleta (He’s AWESOME !)
Thing to think about : Do we really care about the environmental  issue (say, global warming) as a whole ?

[ Click the picture for better view ]

I was pretty bored so I experimented the picture using Photoshop. Playing around with few filters and effects, and applied to it and.. TADA ~ ! Quite surprised because I made it while my brain was half-empty.

[ During Earth Hour 2009, taken from my pitch-dark room ]

During the Earth Hour, lemme recall back what I did. I switched off all switches at 8PM (one hour advanced), just let my laptop powered by battery. I even turned my 19″ LCD monitor off. Opened windows widely. So, the only light source was from my laptop monitor. Watching news, in the same time, playing Habbo. Just wanted to test the thing out. Guess I was just totally bored that time. Haha.. Got few friends from Phillipines, Japan, USA (moved from Italy) as well locals (one of them could speak Japanese). The local guy, Japanese (a lady) and I were the only persons who could talk in Japanese in the room. The rest were full of questions what we were talking about. Some of them were quite rude. It was quite fun actually. :heh: So, I joined the room for almost an hour. Before the Earth hour ended, I started to get eye-strain. I’m not used to staring at monitor in the dark place. :blushes:

[ Taken from afar. Students playing cricket. ]

I wanted to take picture of these guys playing cricket but I was quite slothful that time, so instead, I just shot it from my room. It seemed like it was a competition ‘coz normally, there wouldn’t be many spectators.

[ The spectators ]

I’ve never seen cricket game anywhere in Malaysia LIVE. So, that was a perfect time to have a record that I’ve already seen now. :heh:

Bukit Tinggi and Hot Air Balloon

March 26, 2009 05:05PM

The 1-week break hasn’t come to an end but I returned to Cyberjaya few days early as I have tons of works to do.

Last Saturday, the day before I went back to my hometown, Mike and I went to Bukit Tinggi, Pahang for a crazy ride.

Before I continue. Before this, I thought Bukit Tinggi is in Klang, S’ngor as there’s a place called Bandar Bukit Tinggi in Klang. So, I thought the hill was nearby Bandar Bukit Tinggi. :blushes:

Mike came all the way from Muar just for this. Me? Blindly spending my money without limit. *grins* I’d been wanted to go to Bukit Tinggi for ages but didn’t have time to really go for even a day. So, last Saturday, Mike and I hit the road to Bukit Tinggi at 10AM for a day !

Perlumbaan Ke Gunung Sihir

March 15, 2009 10:53PM

[ UPDATE : March 22nd, 2009, 10.30AM ] Going back to my hometown shortly. I’ll post my trip later after I return to Cyberjaya. Peace out ! :peace:

Really miss to put stupid post title direct-translated from a name. Wah hahahaha..! :heh:

So many unexpected things happened this week. Last weekend, I went to Melaka with Key without proper planning. Last Thursday, I didn’t plan to watch ‘Love Matter’ movie again after watching it for the first time in Seremban last weekend. Today, I originally planned to watch ‘Race to Witch Mountain’ alone. I’d been so enthusiastic to watch the movie for weeks, so I didn’t mind if I had to watch it all by myself. I did send a text to Key and several other friends, but I didn’t expect them to be free or bother to reply my message. Surpisingly, Key replied, so we went to Alamanda at 1.30PM. :waaaah:

[ 'Race to Witch Mountain' movie tickets ]

I thought there’d be no available seats for the movie, so we went to buy tickets first before we went to find a place for our lunch. Our movie started at 5.50PM, so we had around 3 hours.

[ 3 awesome dipping sauces for our lunch ]

We had our lunch at Manhattan Fish Market. I’d never tried this place before. The grilled salmon picture on the menu really brainwashed me to try out.

The yummy-iest honey sotong

March 14, 2009 05:23PM

After I came back from Melaka, my life had been quite overloaded. I think it was the torture I needed to endure for escaping from works for the entire weekend.

I had a test last Tuesday at night. I wasn’t aware about it until last Monday. Luckily, it wasn’t really tough. Right away after the test, my group had a 2-hour discussion about our mock meeting which were held the next day in the afternoon. We discussed on what topic we should talk about during the mock meeting.

[ Jeng jeng jeng~ ]

At 3.15PM, my friend from Muar, Mike picked me up and we went to 1 Utama. He wanted to go to Times Square in the first place. But then I told him about this peranakan restaurant in 1 Utama. He changed his mind and we went to 1 Utama.

First, lemme tell you. I went to this restaurant, called ‘Restoran Peranakan Place‘, for the first time with my bosses and colleague for lunch. I didn’t post anything about this restaurant last time because I left my cellphone in the office. This peranakan restaurant is one of my Number-1 restaurants in Malaysia. :peace:

At the Information Centre, I found something interesting, so I just took it. It looked like a small magazine, actually it wasn’t a magazine. That small magazine called ’Durian Navi’ and it was in Japanese. One of the articles in the magazine talked about a restaurant in Bali, Indonesia. The restaurant’s sign board had a picture of suckling pig on it and at the bottom, I noticed something that made me burst into laughter; Babi Guling. We (especially me) laughed like idiots.

2D-1N Trip to Malacca

March 9, 2009 08:21PM

Note: This will be a very lengthy post I’ve ever had. Gonna add more pictures later.

It was all started last Friday after I received Iss’ message saying that our cycling plan on Saturday would be canceled. That time, I was having yamcha with Key in Putrajaya. I didn’t feel to do any assignments or projects for the entire weekend, so I wanted to escape from all that hassles. Out of a sudden, an idea popped up and I said “Let’s go to Melaka” to Key. I didn’t expect he would be serious.

[ Stesen Keretapi Seremban ]

We got off from KL to Seremban by taking KTM Komuter, roughly at 12.00PM and reached KTM Seremban at 12.40PM. We straightaway went to find a place to eat. We stopped at an Indian restaurant and had our lunch there.

[ My lunch on Satuday; mee Kari ]

After that, we went to Terminal 1 Seremban and took a shuttle bus to Terminal 2 Seremban (located not far away from Terminal 1 Seremban). We weren’t that lucky when we reached there. All bus tickets for the next 2 hours had been sold out. We went for drink at a restaurant for few minutes and then we watched a Chinese movie, Love Matters, at a nearby cinema. Key was the assistant costume designer for the movie. I knew he didn’t want to watch the movie but we didn’t have much choices that time (and I was so keen to watch the movie). Wah hahaha..! In the end, he admitted the movie was great. The movie is great and entertaining, despite the 18PL rate. We left the cinema 30 minutes early as our bus would depart at 4.30PM.

We reached Melaka Sentral at roughly 6PM and it was already raining. We took a taxi to Jonker Street. For almost 1 hour, we walked in the rain around the area just to search for hotel. Most of hotels around there had no empty hotel room . Only Baba House had an empty room. To shorten the story, Key had to stay at a different hotel in Melaka Raya. I felt very bad. He said the hotel where he stayed was lousy. For that small room, I spent RM70. I think it was the rate for peak season.

Thing to think today : Who’s the biggest spender? Man or woman?

[ Pergi ke pasar sambil membawa 'binatang' kesayangan. Lalala~ ]

Seems like internet connection’s getting worst by day. *sighs*

Few weeks ago were like a total ‘summer’ here. From wearing long pants changed to short pants due to blazing temperature. But this week, the rainy season has come. It’s a good thing anyway. But yesterday was slightly different. Iss planned to go cycling at Taman Botani, Putrajaya. We didn’t expect it’d be raining in the evening. Our plan changed unfortunately. We instead went to Alamanda, Putrajaya. It was the second time I went there in one whole day yesterday. :dotdotdot: From keeping fit plan to keeping flabby plan. Haha..!

[ Guess who are they ! ]

Before we go into deep, there’s one thing I want to point out. For the first time in my life history, I yelled “BABI !!!!” pretty loud. For people who didn’t know why I yelled that (say, Iss), they might think I was cursing someone, but actually, I wasn’t.  I yelled that because I saw a baby boar running across the road to the other side in the middle of Putrajaya. Lalala~

We’re in recession period and it’s not a good time to be a big spender. So, we spent on something worth more to our money; FOODS ! Sien to Iss. Wah hahaha..! It was a food marathon for me. We tried at 3 different places. Our first attack was a waffle stall in the food court.

[ Peach Treat Waffle ]

The Peach Treat was my second time. I think their waffles are the best so far. I like waffle A LOT. I’ve tried many places and most places I tried, their waffle weren’t good. I mean in a sense of its softness. This one wasn’t too soft yet too rock-like. Iss tried Chocolate Banana waffle. Looked nice but I didn’t feel like to eat banana. *grins*

[ Picking a soft toy to be my photo-session clown ]

Then, we took a walk around Alamanda. Window-shopping here and there. We even had our own posing-without-shame session in Parkson as well as other places. Our next food stop was Sushi King. It was just a light tea break (was it?) after strolling for 1 hour. Our very last stop was their humble food court. To be frankly, I got diarrhea right after eating their sizzling yee mee. I think I’d never eat there after this. In the end of the day, I felt sooo burnt out that I couldn’t sit properly any more. The things I bought yesterday are still in the plastic bags today. Ngah hahahaha..

Photo-session for graduates/ final year students will start tomorrow. It’s for MMU Yearbook. Feeling like to go and take with several friends. Luckily I have formal dress right now. Want to join? Wah hahahaha..! :heh:

Do you believe ‘male menopause’ exists?

February 18, 2009 08:44PM

What’s with the title? There was a talkshow I watched this morning talking about ‘male menopause’. So, for guys outside there, do you believe it? Answer yourself. Hehe..

[ WAAAAHH..! ]

[ Spaghetti with meatballs. ]

Yesterday, Thoreq the Anak Tan Sri, Iss the Cat and I (the panda?) went to.. err.. KL. There’s this Chinese plus Peranakan restaurant at One Utama we wanted to try out yesterday but in the end, we found that we were wandering around Puchong, Bandar Kinrara, etc for almost 2 hours. Heh.. I totally forgot how to get to One Utama from Cyberjaya. So, we decided to go other place; a (very cramped) restaurant in KL. I chose to try Spaghetti with meatballs. Believe it or not, it was the worst, almost awful spaghetti ever. Imagine this way; (more…)

After my graduation..

February 15, 2009 01:17PM

Currently listening to :One Love –

[ I'm sooo hooked to it.. ]

I have a long wish-list of after-my-graduation life. About to show here are the most important ones. I bet most final year students have at least 1, right? *winks*
First AND A MUST. Trip to Tokyo or Osaka, Japan for at least 5 days (Original plan was a 1-month trip. I made a promise to my lecturer to pay him visit. I still keep his home address. I hope I’d bump into Fukuyama Masaharu. Kya~!)
Second. Get myself HD-ready LCD TV
Third. Rent a room/ house (optional)
Fourth. My own business (excessively long way to go)
Fifth. Transform my big room into a recreation-plus-library room. Nyah hahaha..~

Besides the excitement of getting out of study and exam life, I’m pretty sure I’d miss my life in campus. Hey, I’ve been in MMU for 6 years and I’ve gone through many awful as well as awesome experiences within that period. I’ll summarize my 6-year experience in my next post. Sometimes it’s good if we could reminisce what we’ve done in the past. Among things I’d miss the most are..
First. Total FREEDOM! Means, if I feel not to do anything, say study, I’d just lay in my bed and sleep or turn on TV and watch for, say, 5 hours non-stop. But once you get into working life, you won’t get those freedom anymore. Unless you want to settle down after you grad la. Huhu..
Second. The satisfaction feeling if you can beat 4-A students. I’ve done that A LOT and it’s like an ecstasy to me now.
Third. It’s good to be a leecher. Hoho..!
Fourth. Get to know new lecturers, especially foreign lecturers.
Fifth. MMU’s library. It’s been my No. 1 source for almost everything.

Another thing I’m addicted to right now; One Love by Arashi. If you know the meaning of the song, you’ll know why I *hearts* that song.
